Washington flu deaths on track to eclipse last year’s casualties

(OLYMPIA) We are getting some new data regarding how the flu is impacting Washington, and at this point, the virus is on track to be deadlier than it was last year.

According to the state health department, 7 Washingtonians have died of the flu so far this season…including one child.

26 people died last flu season, suggesting we’re on track for even more deaths by the end of flu season in the Spring.

According to the state, the number of people visiting the doctor with flu-like symptoms is 4-5 higher than normal right now.
