(OLYMPIA, Wash) – State Representative Pat Sullivan (D-Covington) has announced he will not seek reelection this fall.
Sullivan has served in the legislature since 2005, and has been the House Majority Leader since 2010.
“We made it through some difficult times,” Sullivan said in a statement. “But we always manage to come through even stronger as a state. It’s about putting people first.”
Prior to serving in the legislature, Sullivan was the first mayor of the city of Covington and also worked as a legislative aide.
He has three grown children and two grandchildren.
Rep. Sullivan is just 59 years old.
