A member of Washington State’s Sunshine Committee is stepping down, as lawmakers come under more scrutiny for how they handle public records.

The 13 person committee was created in 2007 to ensure the legislature and other agencies are complying with the Public Records Act.

But, Attorney and now-former Committee Member Kathy George says it feels like they’ve been spinning their wheels.
