U.S. Attorney Nick Brown, a Pierce County native, will join more than 30 other U.S. Attorneys from across the country this weekend in Selma, AL to commemorate the 58th Anniversary of “Bloody Sunday.” On March 7, 1965, police brutally beat demonstrators who were marching for voting rights as they crossed Selma’s Edmund Pettus Bridge. Brown says sadly the fight for voting rights remains relevant today. (PHOTOS: U.S. Department of Justice, AP/Brynn Anderson)
