August 6th marks the 79 years since an atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima.

At 8:16 in the morning, approximately 70-thousand people died simultaneously and another 70-thousand would perish in the following months.

But, that wasn't the only fallout from the world's nuclear activities.

The documentary film "Silent Fallout" from accredited Japanese director Hideaki reveals the untold stories of the victims of nuclear testing in America and the account of one mother who risked her career to expose the dangers of radiation poisoning.

"Silent Fallout" will be featured at the Ground Zero Center for Nonviolent Action in Poulsbo on August 17th.

 

The goal of any animal rescue organization is to help their charges return to the happy, healthy individuals that nature intended them to be.

It's a mission that the volunteers at SAFE Horse Rescue in Redmond have successfully completed more than 300 times over the past couple of decades.

So, when they took Autumn off the trailer, they had no idea they would wind up with a life-or-death dilemma like they had never faced before.

U.S. regulators and 17 states are suing Amazon over allegations the e-commerce behemoth abuses its position in the marketplace to inflate prices on and off its platform, overcharge sellers and stifle competition.

The lawsuit is the result of a years-long investigation into the company's businesses and one of the most significant legal challenges brought against it in its nearly 30-year history.

With Pickleball and Tennis using the same courts, players have to get up bright and early if they hope to secure a place to play.

The city of Seattle is adding striping to existing courts to try and appease Pickleballers. But, the players say they're tired of having to contend with Tennis players. They want more dedicated courts of their own.
